Full Description
a fine, old, Afshar with numerous colors, including the madatory '3 blues'. The Turkoman heritage of this tribe is evident in the 2-1-2 composition of the field pattern with archaic guls formed by 4 phoenix motifs. An elaborate cruciform secondary gul forming a diamond completes the pattern. The skill of the weaver is exemplified by the curvilinear floral motifs executed in a Turkish knot in the borders.
