Full Description
I call this group, distinguished by it's over spun knots and pebbled weft float kelim, "Taimani Aimaq" but is just as likely that it is a straight Taimani sub group. This example has relatively profuse use of yellow and a nice old green. Remnants of a maroon and yellow supplementary selvedge over wrap may be found at the top end. Exceptional ground figure patterning between the shurub design in the field. I HAVE NOW WASHED THIS RUG AND HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS REPAIR TO THE YELLOW AND GREEN IN THE FIELD ORNAMENTS. PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED TO COST....265 EURO.
