  • Full Description

though the center medallion and compartment design bottom elem/border place this bag face solidly in the Fars district there are too many factors to deny an Afshar attribution. It has 3 blues (an Afshar signature), the border is Afshar, with the exception of the center medallion the field is common to the Afshar, the closure technique and design though shared with the Inalu Khamseh is typical of the Afshar and more importantly the additional soumak chevron band above the closure panels is Afshar. Also the golden yellow dye is favored by the Afshar. The back is fresh and fuzzy because this face was used as a pillow in Europe most of its life.
