Full Description
silk appears to be vegetal, no fading. Fine weave with nomadic thin, floppy handle. The scale of the medallions descend in size. The frequency that one sees this technique (in gul size too) employed in most Turkic main carpets suggests that it is purposeful. Perhaps the idea is to create the illusion of enhanced size and distance of the khan when a lesser sits at the opposite end.
