Full Description
age old dragon and phoenix theme. Attribution for this thing is sheer speculation. The assumption that it is central Asian is based on the palette and what appears to be Bactrian camel hair warps. The use of cotton as a material for the white motifs prompted an upper Amu Darya provenance. The population there, though including Turkoman and Kirghiz tribes, is primarily Uzbek. Whatever this is, it is most certainly very rare. UPDATE: According to Alberto Boralevi this is a Dalmatian apron. I believe him.
