Full Description
a minor rosetta stone for some 'latch hook" designs (see detail images 1 & 2) where the mythical beast inspiration has been preserved. This anachronistic tendency is again demonstrated with the medusa designs in the top border. The kelim appears to be a fairly simple affair but if you study the detail images and apply your own imagination and perspective in visualization it is really quite a complex design.
